BWIT Social Action Drive & Mix n Mingle

Description

Join Birmingham Women in Technology for a social action drive and come-and-go cocktail hour supporting First Light Shelter for Homeless Women and Children and PAD PROJECT Birmingham. 

BWIT is aiming to collect 25 combination padlocks for First Light's holiday gift bags as well as donations for PAD PROJECT. Your contribution to either or both of these causes is greatly appreciated.

Light hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be provided at DC Blox as a drop off and mix n mingle point.

Here are ways you can contribute:

1. Purchase a combination padlock (~$10) for First Light Shelter

2. Donate to the PAD PROJECT through their website, by dropping off a check at this event, or by mail addressed to PAD PROJECT Birmingham, 909 Oak Grove Road, Birmingham, AL, 35209.

3. Purchase items through Amazon to the 909 Oak Grove Road address for Emergency Period Kits that go to the menstruating students of PAD PROJECT partner schools:
